I was introduced to the work of Elsa Schiaparelli when I saw the V&A exhibit Surreal Things. Then I read her biography Shocking Life, tore out the page with her 12 Commandments for Women and framed it in my bathroom. Then I thrifted a persian lamb Schiaparelli jacket and felt like the luckiest girl in the world. I loved the Impossible Conversations exhibit at the MET. I have a couple of Schiap men's ties waiting to go on sale in the shop. I think that reading this book Fashion Memoir: Elsa Schiaparelli by Francois Baudot is the next step in myquest for more Schiaparelli. Images from Worn. You can read their book report right here.
