This week I visited the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery where I saw Anne-Marie Chagnon's jewellery in the gift shop.

True Blood

We here at Milk and Bread pride ourselves on watching the most quality movies and television. Well - we have something a bit shameful to add to the roster. True Blood. But not only True Blood, but a new season of Teen Mom, and Jersey Shore. We just got hooked on v, so we are only finished the first season.

I have always wanted to spend my summer at camp. Archery, canoeing, ghost stories and stella-ella-hola would fill my days. Life-long friendships would be forged over roasted marshmallows and the low ropes course. I did go to girl guide camp once. It was one week of kraft dinner and royal blue shorts - not the stuff of camp stories like these.

My sister and I went to an army surplus store at Queen St & Jarvis. I found a wool blanket to back a quilt I've been working on. They had great hats and some nice striped Russian navy shirts.

Road to Avonlea

I'm staying at Jamie's house this week and while she's at work I am working on some rings and spending quality dog time. Right now I'm watching Road to Avonlea. My family used to watch this period maritime drama every Sunday night when my sisters and I would sit in our jammies and my mom would brush our wet hair.

A good weekend.

I received my Moleskine cahier from Art House Co-op Sketchbook Project today. I didn't realize it was a country-wide exhibition! Wonderful! It also came with a cute Brooklyn Art Library card with my name on it. I'm going to stay up late tonight and make some pages. 

Tomorrow, Meghan comes to stay with me for a couple days while my family is off to Halifax. It's also the Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival!
